In particular, according to the Swedish Ministry of Defense, eight Swedes who fought on the side of Ukraine have died since February 24, 2022.
Five Finnish volunteers, at least one Dane and a Norwegian have also died in Ukraine.

In February of this year, it became known about the death of the first Lithuanian volunteer, several more Lithuanians were injured. And in October last year, the Latvian National Broadcasting Company reported the death of the first Latvian volunteer in Ukraine.
In addition, three people died among the volunteers who went to fight in Ukraine from Estonia. Ivo Jurak was killed in March 2023, Tanel Kriggul – at the end of September, and Martin Jaager – in June of this year.
