Pentagon Releases Contents of New Security Aid Package for Ukraine

This assistance is provided under the Presidential Powers Program.

The Pentagon has released the contents of a new security aid package for Ukraine

NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system.

The Pentagon press service reported the contents of the security assistance package for Ukraine announced today, October 16.

It is noted that this assistance is provided under the Presidential Authority Act (PDA) program.

The package includes:

  • Additional munitions for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS):
  • RIM-7 missiles and air defense support;
  • Stinger anti-aircraft missiles;
  • Munition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS);
  • Air-to-ground munitions;
  • 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition;
  • High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV);
  • Small arms and ammunition;
  • Grenades, thermal weapons, and training equipment;
  • Explosive equipment and ammunition;
  • Spare parts, support equipment, services, training, transportation.

The Pentagon recalled that this announcement is the 67th that will be provided to Ukraine from the U.S. Department of Defense stockpile since August 2021.
