support for Ukraine in the Czech Republic
The Drony Nemesis initiative, within the framework of which Czech citizens donated for drones for the Ukrainian army, has managed to raise about 8 million euros in almost a year.
According to “European Pravda”, the campaign was launched last year two days before Christmas. The Czechs have donated a total of over 203 million crowns, although the initial goal was to collect only 100 million.
With these funds, the organizers of the collection have already purchased and sent 12 thousand UAVs to Ukrainian soldiers, another 3 thousand are almost ready for dispatch.
The Czechs decided not to stop there: a new project “Spravedliva odplata” has already been launched, the goal of which is to purchase 100 tons of plastic explosives for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Buying it in batches of 5 tons, each of which costs 10 million crowns, is about 400 thousand euros. The explosives can be used not only for military operations, but also for demining the territory.
- By the end of the year, the Czech Republic has committed to transfer 500 thousand large-caliber ammunition to Ukraine.
