SBU liquidated the channel for supplying Ukrainian heating systems to Russia

The Security Service of Ukraine has stopped the illegal activities of a Ukrainian company that supplied heating systems to Russian enterprises through intermediaries, IZ writes with reference to the Obozrevatel material. The products reached the Russian Federation through affiliated companies in Europe and Central Asia. The main customers were structures that cooperated with the Russian Ministry of Defense and equipped military sanatoriums.

The organizers of the deal used a complex scheme to circumvent sanctions. Initially, the equipment was exported to companies in the European Union, where it was re-registered under the guise of foreign-made products. Then the goods were sent to Belarus, from where they were delivered to the end consumer in Russia. According to this scheme, a company from Zhytomyr transported products worth 65 million hryvnias.

During searches of the company's offices and the home of the head of the sales department, documents, mobile phones and computers with evidence of the crime were seized. The main suspect was informed of suspicion under the article that provides for liability for cooperation with an aggressor state. He was taken into custody, and investigators continue to work to identify other persons involved.

The investigation is focused on identifying all supply channels and bringing to justice the owner of the company, who probably participated in the scheme. Under current legislation, the perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
