Ministry of Defense: Ukraine will receive 450 UAVs from Canada, 3 million euros for FPV drones from Lithuania and drones from Germany

The Netherlands plans to contract a batch of Heidrun RQ-35 drones in cooperation with Denmark and Germany.

Ministry of Defense: Ukraine will receive 450 UAVs and drones from Germany

< p>During an extraordinary meeting of the Drone Coalition, Ukraine informed its partners about the situation at the front and the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to confront the enemy.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Following the meeting, Canada will begin transferring 450 multi-purpose SkyRanger UAVs in the summer, Lithuania will allocate 3 million euros for Ukraine for the production of FPV drones, and Germany will donate VECTOR 211 reconnaissance drones.

The Netherlands also announced its intention to contract a batch of Heidrun RQ-35 drones for 200 million euros in cooperation with Denmark and Germany.

“The situation at the front is changing every day, the enemy continues to attack civilian targets, especially energy infrastructure. We need tools for an asymmetric response. Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds urged the meeting participants to remember that the war continues, so it is time for all participants to join in supporting the initiative, which is gaining momentum and awaits the joining of new countries.

  • The drone coalition officially launched as part of the work of the Contact Group on Ukrainian Defense Issues. The coalition's co-leaders are Great Britain and Latvia. Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden also joined the Coalition.
