“The enemy will commit energy terror. That is why it is important to maximally strengthen the level of organization of engineering protection of critical infrastructure facilities so that the negative consequences of shelling are minimal,” Litvinenko emphasized.

The meeting participants analyzed in detail the possible threats and hazards that pose the greatest risks to critical infrastructure, and discussed planned measures to increase the level of protection of such facilities. Among them is the construction of a system for protecting critical infrastructure in accordance with the best world practices.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov, Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, as well as heads of leading structures in the energy and oil and gas sectors.

  • Ukraine desperately needed air defense throughout the full-scale war, but now that Russia has stepped up ballistic missile attacks on the energy sector, the need has grown even more. The enemy has already destroyed the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant, damaged energy facilities in the Kharkov, Lviv, Odessa and other regions, as well as in Nikolaev.
  • EU Diplomacy Chairman Josep Borrell recently said that it is cheaper to buy Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine than to restore destroyed ones power plants.
