The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 73 military clashes occurred during the day.
The enemy launched two missile and 79 air strikes, carried out 90 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas points.
In the Avdeevsky direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 22 attacks by Russians in the areas of the settlements of Berdich, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye, Donetsk region.
Our fighters repulsed another 22 enemy attacks in Novopavlovskoye. Here, the Defense Forces continue to contain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka, Donetsk region.
Defense aviation carried out strikes on 10 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. The air force shot down three Su-34 fighter-bombers. Units of the missile forces inflicted defeat on 2 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 3 BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems, 1 ammunition train, 1 enemy electronic warfare system.

The enemy is trying to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and capture the city of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region. Now heavy fighting is taking place in the Ivanovskoye and Bogdanovka points.
Ilya Yevlash, a representative of the Eastern Group of Forces, spoke about this on the telethon. “In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is advancing, hovering around the settlements of Ivanovskoye and Bogdanovka. The enemy is already conducting military operations within the city. They are actively bringing up reserves, heavy equipment, and striking with drones,” he noted.
The speaker added that the occupiers want to develop an offensive on Vremya Yar and capture it, but the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s advance.

On the morning of Thursday, February 29, Russian aviation dropped a KAB-500 on a hospital and housing sector in the city of Nikolaevka, Donetsk region, the press service reports Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the department, 8 private houses, a hospital, a garage and two civilian cars, a gas pipeline, and electrical networks were destroyed.

Emphasizing how the war has fundamentally changed the geopolitical situation in Europe and, in addition, they indicate that the main goal is for Ukraine to win the war, warning of serious consequences if this does not happen. MEPs say other authoritarian regimes are watching how the war unfolds to assess their options for aggressive foreign policies.
According to the document, for Kiev to win, there should be “no self-imposed restrictions on military assistance to Ukraine”, and parliament confirmed the need to provide the country with everything it needs to regain full control over its internationally recognized territory.
