Apple has introduced the next generation of its wireless earbuds — AirPods Pro 3. The device features a redesigned look, enhanced sound quality, the world’s most effective in-ear Active Noise Cancellation, improved stability, built-in heart rate monitoring during workouts, and extended battery life, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Apple Newsroom.

According to the company, AirPods Pro 3 cancel twice as much noise compared to the previous model and four times more than the first generation. The earbuds deliver more precise spatial audio thanks to a new multiport acoustic architecture and upgraded Adaptive EQ. They also come with foam-infused ear tips in five sizes, including a new XXS option, ensuring a more secure and comfortable fit for a wide range of users.

For the first time, AirPods feature a built-in heart rate sensor. Integrated with the Fitness app on iPhone, this allows users to track over 50 workout types, monitor pulse, and measure calories burned. The earbuds are IP57-rated for sweat and water resistance, making them suitable for running, HIIT, yoga, and other activities, even in harsh weather conditions.

Another key innovation is Live Translation, now available in beta. This feature enables real-time conversations across different languages, either directly through the earbuds or displayed on the iPhone screen. Currently, Live Translation supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese to be added by the end of the year.

Apple has also expanded its hearing health tools. Improved ANC makes it easier to complete hearing tests, while Conversation Boost now automatically amplifies voices in noisy environments such as restaurants. Battery performance in Transparency mode has been extended by 67 percent, offering up to 10 hours of use on a single charge.

AirPods Pro 3 are available for pre-order now and will be released on Friday, September 19. The device is made with recycled materials, including 100% recycled cobalt in the battery and 65% recycled plastic in the case, aligning with Apple’s environmental commitment to achieve carbon neutrality across its supply chain by 2030.
