Apple has unveiled its newest entry-level laptop, the MacBook Neo, priced starting at $599, with special discounts for students who can purchase it for $499, reports Baltimore Chronicle via Apple. This model is positioned as Apple’s most affordable laptop to date, significantly lower than the MacBook Air starting at $1,099 and the MacBook Pro beginning at $1,699.
The base MacBook Neo, priced at $599, comes with 256GB of internal storage but does not include Touch ID. The $699 variant offers double the storage at 512GB and includes Touch ID functionality. Apple has made the laptop available in four vibrant colors: silver, pink, citrus, and indigo, expanding aesthetic choices for users seeking personalization.
Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo have already begun, with units expected to ship and be available in stores starting March 11, 2026. The company aims to attract both first-time Mac users and educational customers with this competitive pricing and modern design.
