A meeting between Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin could take place in Hungary, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing Reuters.
A high-ranking official from the U.S. administration stated that this summit, which will involve trilateral talks, is expected to occur following the recent meeting in Washington on August 18.
During this meeting, both Ukraine’s President Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hopes that the talks would eventually lead to a trilateral summit with Putin. Trump confirmed that he had already reached out to the Russian leader to initiate the organization of this important meeting.
