Not so long ago, the European Commission expressed some confidence – the European military-industrial complex (MIC) is able to produce the missing volume of artillery shells within the “promised 1 million” before spring, despite some “slowness” of the process, and So far, our country has to cope almost independently with the replenishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

About the fact that the production of artillery ammunition with the participation of partner states is a rather complex process, since even with the assistance of a coalition of allies, a significant shortage of certain components is recorded, writes NBN, citing the explanation of the head of the Ministry for Issues of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Alexander Kamyshin, aired during the telethon on the TSN YouTube channel.
According to Kamyshin, the problem of the production of artillery shells lies in several scarce positions, – countries around the world globally lack explosives and ;gunpowder even for our own needs.
However, at this stage, thanks to the participation of 500 Ukrainian companies working for the domestic military-industrial complex (400 are “private owners”, 100 are from the state holding “Ukroboronprom” ), some difficulties were resolved.
For example, the increase in the number of companies in the domestic market of Ukraine provoked increased competition, and a drop in the cost of specific weapons systems—we are talking about the 82-mm mortar “Upik- 82”, which fell in price by half within 9 months.
