As NBN reports with reference to a statement on the air of the national telethon by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of the Ukrainian State Yulia Sviridenko, Kiev expects to receive the first money from the European Union as part of the program Ukraine Facility for 50 billion euros already in March 2024.
Verbatim from a statement by a high-ranking official:
We very much hope that that we will be able to receive the first tranche in March 2024 in the amount of 4.5 billion euros. During the first year, we expect to receive eighteen billion euros of direct budget support.
Among other things, Sviridenko added that funds from the European Union alone will not be able to cover the budget deficit in Ukraine.
As a result, we all hope that our American partners will follow the example of the European Union.
Recall that we previously wrote that the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry spoke out that the EU should increase assistance to Ukraine.
