The Russian authorities refused to send the latest Russian T-14 Armata tanks to the battlefield in Ukraine. British intelligence explained why Moscow decided that Putin's occupation forces would not receive this military equipment, vaunted by propagandists.

British intelligence drew attention to the statement of the head of the Rostec military concern Sergei Chemezov. He said that the most modern tank of the Russian Federation “Armata” entered service with Putin's army, however, during the so-called “SVO” it will not be used.
According to Chemezov, this is due to the fact that the high cost of T -14 limits the large-scale production of this equipment, NBN reports with reference to the page of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense on the social network X.
The intelligence report says that the Armata tank debuted on Victory Day 9 years ago and stalled on rehearsals. In December 2022, a T-14 was spotted in the south of the terrorist state during an exercise. Kremlin mouthpieces then stated that the latest armored combat vehicle of the Russian Armed Forces would be used in Ukraine.
British intelligence suggests that Moscow abandoned the idea of sending the Armata tank to the front, fearing potential reputational damage from the loss of such a “ prestigious” technology. Also, this decision was made due to the impossibility of mass production of the T-14.
ISW analysts previously stated that the Russian defense industry is not able to fully provide the reserves of the “second army of the world” with equipment.
