Ukrenergo representative warned that after large-scale strikes by the Russian Armed Forces during the spring and summer, there may be a shortage of electricity, since a lot of time is needed to restore power plants.
According to Tsaturyan, it is during the warm season that power plants are repaired in preparation for the new heating season, NBN reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
The company representative noted that repair work at the nuclear power plant has already started, more capacities will be put out for temporary repairs during the spring and summer. For this reason, there will be a noticeable deficit in the system, which the authorities will try to cover by importing electricity from European countries.
Tsaturyan warned that if the country does not have enough electricity even taking into account imports, emergency assistance will be called in or the application of certain schedules for limiting consumption for industry and business.
Recall that the head of the board of Ukrenergo named two scenarios for the development of events in the energy sector after large-scale shelling.
