British ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson held a personal meeting with US presidential candidate Donald Trump, after which he wrote an article in which he revealed a compromise, but, in his opinion, a viable scenario for ending the war in Ukraine.

About what is contained in Johnson's opinion piece entitled “Why I'm more convinced than ever that Trump has the strength and courage to save Ukraine and end this terrible war,” NBN writes, citing the Daily Mail.
Factors that, according to Johnson's forecast, would convince Trump to help Ukraine achieve peace:
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine are arming themselves to the maximum extent possible by the Pentagon, with the simultaneous lifting of all restrictions on strikes in depth Russian Federation;
- Ukraine is integrating into the European Union and North Atlantic Alliance (“welcome to join as soon as possible”);
- instead of the 1991 borders, which Ukraine intends to withdraw to, the demarcation line as of February 22, 2022 will remain in place (Donetsk, Lugansk and the Crimean Peninsula will continue to be controlled by the Russian Federation);
- Kiev resumes protecting the rights of the Russian-speaking population (will allow Putin to announce the fulfillment of the goals of the “special operation”);
- absolute restoration of relations with the Russian Federation through Trump's mediation, including a potential return to the period when Moscow was a “respectable partner” of the G8 and NATO;
- instead of 70,000 American troops, the EU will be defended in the future by a combat-ready and NATO-standardized million-strong Ukrainian army (Trump will save money, US troops will return home, and Europeans will do more for their own defense).
