As reported by NBN with a link In response to a statement by US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma, published by the Voice of America, the US State Department considers the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ukraine to be a very significant event, especially against the backdrop of Russia’s intensive attempts to destabilize the established global world order.
Based on Verma’s words, at the current stage it is vital to “protect and preserve” this international order, and despite the long-term relations between New Delhi and Moscow, Modi nevertheless confirmed his firm revised position, saying that “now is not the time for war, but the time for peace.”
In addition, the US Deputy Secretary of State hinted at a change in views India on the actions of the Russian Federation, adding that the entire global community is obliged to resist attacks, invasions, attacks on civilians or the killing of children in medical institutions (the attack on Okhmatdet), which has recently been regularly committed by the terrorist state in Ukraine.
