At the end of August, it became known that Belarus was being transferred to the Ukrainian border with a significant number of units of the Armed Forces, justifying such actions by military exercises.

As reported by NBN, citing the opinion of political scientist Evgeny Magda, published by Espresso, if the Kremlin replaces Alexander Lukashenko with a slightly more active pro-Russian president, this will provoke Belarus into an open war against Ukraine.
According to Magda, the self-proclaimed leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is not ready to wage war against Ukraine, and is focusing on the presidential elections scheduled for February 2025.
The Belarusian dictator currently needs the tolerant attitude of the Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin so that during the remaining 6 months “there are no unpleasant surprises”, especially potential Russian attempts to “put forward their candidate in the elections”.
Also, the number of Belarusian troops near the borders of Ukraine does not indicate the reality of the threat of invasion, and the “Wagnerites” are operating on the territory of the satellite country of the Russian Federation only as military instructors.
The political scientist summarized:
Therefore Lukashenko will definitely not give the order for an invasion. However, the Kremlin may go so far as to replace him with a president who is more loyal to the Russian Federation, and then the situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border may change.
Earlier we wrote about Lukashenko accusing Ukraine of using “Polish mercenaries” in the operation in Kursk region.
