As reported by “NBN” with reference to the forecast of the head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities of Ukraine Oleg Popenko, voiced on the YouTube channel “Noviny.LIVE”, in the short term it is very likely that the cost of electricity will increase to 9 hryvnia/kilowatt-hour.
According to Popenko, from 2025, electricity tariffs for the population, judging by everything, will increase to 6.5 hryvnia – 7 hryvnia/kilowatt-hour, which means an increase in cost by 50-75 percent. According to the expert's forecast, over the next 2-3 years the tariff may reach from 8 hryvnia to 9 hryvnia per kilowatt-hour.
Popenko added that the Cabinet of Ministers' moratorium on raising tariffs applies only to heat supply, hot water and “blue fuel”, while other utilities, in particular electricity, may become more expensive even during a war.
