Berlin has confirmed a telephone conversation between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, and also reported some details.

The press service of the German Cabinet of Ministers has confirmed the negotiations between the head of government and the Kremlin dictator. The department reported that the chancellor condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, calling on Putin to withdraw his occupation troops from its territory, writes NBN.
In addition, the politician called on Moscow to negotiate with Kiev to achieve a fair and lasting peace. Scholz also assured that Germany will continue to support the Ukrainians in the fight against the Russian invaders for as long as necessary.
Berlin reported that the head of the German government spoke with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in advance and will soon contact him again.
The German publication Sueddeutsche Zeitung writes that the dialogue between the chancellor and the head of the Kremlin took place on Friday, November 15, after lengthy preparation for the negotiations. According to Tagesschau, the politicians' telephone conversation lasted about an hour.
Recall that former German Minister of Foreign Affairs Christian Lindner said that Scholz is hindering effective military support for Ukraine.
