The head of the regional military administration reported on his Facebook account that the Russian Armed Forces in one of the microdistricts of Ternopil hit a residential multi-story building with a kamikaze drone “Shahed”, the publication “NBN” reports.
According to the official, a fire broke out at the site of the shelling, rescuers extinguished the fire. According to “Suspilne Ternopil”, 94 residents of the multi-story building were evacuated. As a result of the UAV strike, there is 1 dead and 3 injured people.
City Mayor Serhiy Nadal specified that the drone hit the top 5th floor of a residential building. The fire engulfed apartments on the 5th floor, as well as parts of the 3rd and 4th floors. City authorities are preparing places to accommodate residents of the building whose homes were damaged.
