Former US Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges Assesses Possibility of Negotiations with Russia, Answering What Trump and US Allies Should Do

On air on the Kiev24 TV channel, the former commander of US troops in Europe expressed confidence that Moscow will not enter into any negotiations to end the war against Ukraine, while the head of the Kremlin thinks that the Russian Federation can win.
In order to change the Kremlin's position, according to him, the West must provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with all the necessary weapons, the NBN publication reports.
A retired American officer believes that the United States and its allies need to put pressure on an aggressive country, and not force Kyiv to give up its territories to the enemy.
Hodges noted that the Russian Federation is an unreliable partner for negotiations, so the corresponding process will be a test for the newly elected head of the White House, Donald Trump. If the outcome of the negotiations for Ukraine is bad, the allies in Europe will pay a high price, so they should do more than they are doing now.
Recall that the day before, the leader of the Russians said that Slovakia is ready to provide a platform for peace talks between Kiev and Moscow.
