As reported by NBN with reference to the Facebook profile of the Center for Economic Strategy, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine Andriy Telyupa made a statement – during 2024, the average salary of full-time employees in the country increased by 20.3 percent, and now amounts to 20,985 hryvnia.
Based on Telyupa's words, the increase in real wages (taking into account the rate of inflation) amounted to 13 percent. Moreover, this dynamic outpaced the government's forecast, which believed that salaries would increase by only 12 percent, to 20,581 hryvnia.
In addition, the Economic Department expects that during 2025, the average salary in Ukraine will be able to grow to UAH 24,389, and in real terms by 8.1 percent (if we “minus” inflation by 12 percent).
Also, Telyupa assured that the Cabinet of Ministers believes that the rate of inflation in 2025 will slow down from 12 percent to 9.5 percent (if we take the period from December 2024 to December 2025), and GDP will remain unchanged, – 2.7 percent.
