As reported by NBN with reference to the material of RBC-Ukraine, Taras Lesovoy, who is the head of the treasury department of Globus Bank, made a forecast: from Monday (March 3) to Sunday (March 9), the situation on the currency market will remain in a state of variable “calm”, that is, at an “acceptable level”.

Based on Lesovoy's words, the main characteristics of the domestic market of Ukraine from next week will remain as follows:

  • the range of acceptable currency fluctuations will be from 41.6 to 42.2 hryvnia/dollar and from 43.5 to 45 hryvnia/euro (in the interbank sector), as well as absolutely identical indicators when selling currency for cash (at exchange offices);
  • the average difference between the exchange rates of the interbank and cash markets will be 0 (zero) hryvnia;
  • The expected 7-day exchange rate fluctuations are between 1 and 1.5 percent (based on Monday's starting rate).

The banker summed it up:

…The balance between supply and demand and the active participation of the National Bank will make any unpredictable and rapid currency changes impossible.
