The American publication Politico writes that Kyiv is ready to consider the possibility of easing sanctions against the aggressor country in the event of a peace agreement. This was stated by the Ukrainian President's Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladislav Vlasyuk, NBN reports.
The official explained that coercive measures against the Russian Federation should help force the Kremlin to stop military actions and start negotiations. According to him, the restrictions are not just a punishment, but a lever for achieving peace in Ukraine.
According to him, a return to business relations with a terrorist state depends on specific conditions – Moscow must take real steps to end the war. Also, sanctions should help establish justice for Ukrainians, that is, Kyiv seeks compensation for the suffering that citizens have endured due to the Russian invasion.
Recall that the Western agency reported that the American president’s advisers are working on a plan to ease sanctions against Russia.
