NEC Ukrenergo drew attention to the fact that in recent days, the media and Telegram channels have been actively disseminating messages about the possible return of schedules, writes NBN.
The company denied the information, emphasizing that no measures to limit electricity consumption are currently being applied. In particular, no outages are predicted for Wednesday, April 9.
Ukrenergo emphasized that there is a real need for rational consumption of electricity, given the continuation of repair work at energy facilities.
Also, due to the cold weather, residents of Ukraine began to use heaters more often, which also contributes to an increase in electricity consumption from the general network.
The situation is further complicated by the reduced efficiency of home solar power plants due to cloudy weather. On Tuesday, April 8, as of 09:30, the level of electricity consumption was 2.3% higher than at the same time on Monday.
The company called on household consumers, businesses and industry to reduce the simultaneous use of several powerful electrical appliances from 08:00 to 21:00. This will help reduce the load on the power grid and avoid power outages.
