The head of the anti-mine department, Colonel Oleg Shuvarsky, stated that since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 1,150 civilians have been blown up by Russian mines.

Shuvarsky reported that since the beginning of the full-scale war in the de-occupied regions of the country, 1,158 civilians have suffered from Russian mines. Of these, 335 people died, including 18 children, the NBN publication reports, citing the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
The head of the mine action department said that the threat of explosive remnants of war affects the lives of more than 6 million citizens, especially in areas liberated from the enemy.
The colonel explained that the invaders plant explosives randomly, particularly in residential areas, on roads and agricultural fields. 75% of civilian explosions are related to mines.
According to him, three regions are the most contaminated with ammunition – Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. More than 50% of accidents due to mine detonation occurred in these regions.
Shuvarsky added that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Defence Forces' sappers have found and eliminated almost 920,000 explosive devices.
Let us recall that the authorities of Krivoy Rog have clarified the data on the condition of those wounded as a result of the shelling of the city on April 4.
