Not so long ago, a warning was sounded from the American General Christopher Cavoli – the Russian Armed Forces have achieved an advantage over the Armed Forces of Ukraine in artillery in a ratio of 5 to 1, and soon this figure will increase to 10 to 1 if Washington continues to hesitate in providing military assistance to Kyiv.

On the fact that the effective use of drones by Defense Forces fighters on the front line will not be able to fully cover the shortage of critical artillery shells in all directions of the front, writes NBN, citing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

ISW analysts believe that the Ukrainian army is only partially able to compensate for the shortage of these ammunition by intensively using FPV drones (UAVs or drones) to repel assaults by infantry and armored vehicles of the Russian occupation forces, contrary to the fact that artillery systems make it possible to carry out much more powerful strikes.

The Institute for the Study of War emphasized: Ukraine’s potential in pushing back mechanized attacks by drones is only a partial mitigation of the consequences, while the constant shortage of weapons in the Armed Forces of Ukraine deprives the defenders the ability to eliminate armored vehicles “quickly, and in large quantities.”

Earlier, we wrote that ISW analyzed the likelihood of Russian troops attacking Kharkov in the near future.
