Spanish intelligence services have no doubt that the Kremlin is behind the murder of the Russian Mi-8 pilot Maxim Kuzminov, which occurred on the territory of their country. However, in Madrid they are cautiously commenting on the situation and are in no hurry to make a corresponding statement, awaiting evidence from law enforcement.

Spanish intelligence services are convinced that behind the murder of Russian pilot Maxim Kuzminov in Alicante, who in August last year cooperated with Ukraine by stealing his helicopter Mi-8 for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kremlin stands, reports NBN with reference to the publication El Pais.
Journalists write that Madrid is very cautious in commenting on this situation, in particular regarding the involvement of the aggressor country. Spanish government spokeswoman Pilar Allegría said the Civil Guard should be allowed to do its job and move forward with the investigation. Media sources among diplomats report that Spanish law enforcement continues to look for evidence of the Kremlin's involvement in the murder of Kuzminov. If this is confirmed, Madrid will give a “decisive response.”
Recall that Moscow representatives commented on the murder of Kuzminov in Alicante. The Russian pilot was called a “moral corpse,” “traitor,” and “defector.”
