The legendary British band Deep Purple gave fans an unexpected gift. The musicians have released a new video for the cult song “Smoke On The Water,” says WomanEL.
The song was recorded in December 1971 and first released on the album “Machine Head” in March 1972. It was released as a single only in 1973, and in 2004 it was included in Rolling Stone's list of the 500 best songs of all time.

Now “Smoke On The Water” — this is part of the promotional campaign for the new super edition of the 1972 album “Machine Head” — “Machine Head: Super Deluxe Edition”. Remixes for the release were made by Frank Zappa's son, Dwizzle Zappa.
A special feature of the release was several different versions of the album. In particular, fans can expect two live performances: the first recorded on March 9, 1972 in London. The second, previously unreleased, was recorded in April 1971 at the Montreux casino in Switzerland.
The band planned to record “Machine Head” there, but the premises burned down just before recording began. This was the impetus for writing the song “Smoke On The Water”.
Earlier, Orianthi and Joe Bonamassa recorded a common track.
