Bicerin (bicerin) in the Piedmontese dialect means “small glass”. The favorite drink of Nietzsche and Dumas received its name back in the 18th century due to its unusual presentation. It was served in a glass (to better show the layers) with a metal coaster, in the Italian city of Turin, where it was born, says WomanEL.
Creamy, moderately sweet with a hint of bitterness, bicerin is more than just a drink . This is a perfectly proportioned liquid dessert.
The drink is prepared from melted chocolate, cream or milk and espresso. Today you can prepare it at home in a cezve.

Break the chocolate into a small metal saucepan, add milk and 20% cream. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil and simmer for one or two minutes.
Pour hot chocolate (1/3) into a preheated glass goblet with a stem. Next, you need to prepare espresso in a coffee machine or brew coffee in a Turk and strain.
Gently along the blade of a knife, the tip of which slightly touches the hot chocolate, slowly pour in coffee (1/3). A mandatory condition: the layers should not be mixed.
Beat chilled 40% cream and a little sugar with a mixer (or in a shaker) into a thick, fluffy foam. Using a spoon, place the third layer (1/3) into the glass. You can sprinkle grated chocolate or cocoa powder on top.
