Ukrainian presenter Kateryna Solyar surprised her fans with the news of her divorce after 12 years of marriage. The 37-year-old star, who is usually cautious about her personal life, this time decided to share the details of her breakup, writes WomanEL.
The presenter said that the divorce process was long-term, and the reason was the gradual transition from romantic feelings to friendly relations.
My heart is free. I am officially divorced after 12 years. It all happened gradually. At a certain point, we began to be more friends than a couple. He tried to do something from the opposite: give flowers, buy something… And about half a year ago he came and said: “We should probably break up, because we are friends.” I blame myself, but in reality, neither of us is to blame. It's just that 12 years is a long time. And we didn't do anything to save this marriage and be together. That's why we're not together as a result. So we're both to blame. It so happened that he liked my girlfriend for several years, and for some period I liked another man. He didn't know about it, and I didn't tell him about it either. That's why there were betrayals on both sides,

Kateryna also admitted that both she and her ex-husband had thoughts about having affairs with other people during their marriage. She noted that this undermined their trust. Despite the betrayal and the breakup, Kateryna noted that neither of them was to blame for the end result. The couple made no attempt to save the relationship, and therefore their marriage ended.
