The Diff’rent Strokes actor confirmed that the couple made the “difficult decision to separate” after over three years of marriage, describing the choice as heartfelt but filled with gratitude for the life and family they shared together.
Bridges, best known for his role on the hit series Diff’rent Strokes, and Hirschi first connected through a friend who created a dating profile for her on an app as a form of “market research.” Their romance quickly developed, leading to an engagement six months after meeting and a wedding at Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills, attended by seventy family members and friends, including their six children from previous relationships. Their celebration included a reception at a nearby Italian restaurant, where the couple shared a first dance to Etta James’ “At Last.”
Bettijo B. Hirschi is a designer and photographer with over 25 years of experience in writing and editing, according to her professional website. A Brigham Young University alumna, her work has appeared in national magazines such as Real Simple, Allure, and Parents. She has also been featured on television, including a guest appearance on the Martha Stewart Show. Hirschi is a mother to four children: Rockwell, Modette, Attalie Anne, and Piper. Bridges is the father of son Spencir and daughter Bo.
