Taisiya Onofriychuk took 9th place in her debut Olympics.
16-year-old Ukrainian Taisiya Onofriychuk performed in the individual all-around final in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Our athlete finished the competition in ninth place with a final score of 128.400 points.
We will add that the day before in the qualification she showed the fourth overall result, in particular, she had the second score among all participants for her performance in the exercise with the ball – 35.250 points.
However, in the final, the Ukrainian made several mistakes that prevented her from fighting for a place on the podium.
For Onofriychuk, this was her debut Olympics. Taisiya is the youngest athlete to ever represent Ukraine in individual rhythmic gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games.
The Olympic champion in the individual all-around in rhythmic gymnastics was German Darya Varfolomeyev, who scored 142.850 points in the total of exercises with four apparatus. The silver was won by Bulgarian Boryana Kalein (140.600 points), and the bronze by Italian Sofia Raffaeli (136.300 points).
It should be noted that on Friday, August 9, Ukraine already managed to win one medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. Lyudmila Luzan and Anastasia Rybachok won “silver” in the canoe double 500m

Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes competing in 23 sports. The Games in Paris will last until August 11.
As of now, Ukraine already has eleven awards at the 2024 Olympics: three gold, four silver and four bronze. The “blue-yellows” are in 15th place in the medal standings.
