Mykhailo commented on the first victory of the “blue-yellows” in the 2024/25 Nations League.
The winger of the Ukrainian national team Mykhailo Mudryk shared his impressions after the match of the 3rd round of the group stage of the 2024/25 Nations League against the Georgia team.
Among other things, Mikhail assessed his goal, which brought the Ukrainians victory in the match with a score of 1:0.
“I assess this match very positively, first of all, I am pleased with the character of our team. Yes, there were difficulties with the field, it was not easy to show our football. Before the game, the guys and I knew that today the fight would come to the fore: who wants more, who will make more efforts. I think that in this component we won, we won the match.
My goal? Goals are always important for forwards. I just did my job, what I can do.
Were the Georgian team unhappy with the quality of the pitch? They were unhappy, but I want to say that we were unhappy too. We have players who play well on good surfaces. You can't blame everything on the pitch, but anyone who has played football will understand what a good pitch is and what a poor quality pitch is. “There were equal circumstances for everyone,” Mudryk said on MEGOGO.
It should be noted that the victory over Georgia was the first for the Ukrainians in this Nations League. Rebrov's team started the tournament with losses to Albania (1:2) and the Czech Republic (2:3).
After three rounds, the Ukrainian team is in last place in Group B1 of the Nations League, with 3 points. Georgia is leading with 6 points, ahead of the Czech Republic (6) on additional indicators. Albania (3 points) is third.
In the fourth round of the Nations League, the Ukrainian team will play the Czech Republic on October 14 in Wroclaw, and Georgia will host Albania on the same day.
