After two races in Sunday's Race of Champions, Valtteri Bottas was eliminated from further contention after losing both times – first to NASCAR star Kurt Busch and then to Australian Supercars driver Chaz Mostert.
“I enjoyed it, although it’s a shame that I was eliminated from the fight at such an early stage of the Race of Champions,” admitted Valtteri. “In my first run, I decided to jump off a bridge at full speed, after which I simply couldn’t brake for the next corner.
But I had some difficulties connected with the fact that the last time I drove such cars was on Thursday, when I managed to drive only three laps. And now the balance was completely different, so I can say that by the end of the second run I was already prepared for such a result. But it happened as it happened.
“And I still enjoyed jumping off the bridge in such a car! Although it is clear that I made too long a jump. But I will be able to calmly afford a glass of my signature Shiraz Ihana, which is now sold all over the world!”
