Undisputed featherweight world champion Alicia Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) will return to the ring on July 11. Her opponent will be undefeated Spaniard Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KOs), the interim WBA world champion.
The fight will take place in New York, at the Madison Square Garden arena. It will be the second headliner of the evening along with the trilogy fight between the absolute super lightweight champion Katie Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs) and the former world champion according to the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring Amanda Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs).
For the first time in history, a professional boxing evening at the legendary arena will include a women's card.
The 30-year-old American Baumgardner had her last fight in September last year against Belgian Delphine Persoon. The fight was stopped in the fourth round due to a cut on Alicia's opponent, which she received as a result of a clash of heads.
Miranda, 38, defeated Teresa Almengor in her last fight in Madrid on October 24 last year.
The July boxing event in New York City will be streamed live on Netflix. The event will be promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.
