Boxing Legend on Davis vs. Roach
Legendary American boxer Mike Tyson commented on the lightweight championship fight between Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach. Mike pointed out the referee's mistake in the ninth round, who did not count a knockdown for Davis after Gervonta took a knee.
“Yes, it should have been a knockdown and a point should have been taken from Davis. Regardless of what got into his eyes, he took a knee, the referee should have taken a point. How is that possible? The rules require it,” Tyson said.
On the night of March 2, a fight for the world lightweight title (up to 61.2 kg) took place. WBA belt holder Gervonta Davis from the USA and his compatriot Lamont Roach were unable to determine the winner – the judges recorded a draw.
