Ex-Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Artur Rudko was detained while trying to cross the border illegally. He is now undergoing military training in Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Ex-Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Artur Rudko was detained while trying to cross the border illegally. He is now undergoing military training in Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Former goalkeeper of Dynamo Kyiv, Shakhtar Donetsk, Chornomorets Odesa, Metalist Kharkiv, and several other clubs, Artur Rudko, was detained while attempting to illegally cross the state border. The incident occurred when the 33-year-old ex-goalkeeper of Ukraine’s U21 national team tried to leave the country, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Sport Arena.

According to available information, Rudko is currently undergoing basic military training at one of the Armed Forces of Ukraine training centers.

The last club of his professional career was Chornomorets Odesa, which he left after the end of the previous season.

Earlier in his career, Rudko played for Dynamo Kyiv, Shakhtar Donetsk, Metalist Kharkiv, Polish side Lech Poznań, and Cypriot club Pafos. He was also regularly called up to Ukraine’s youth national teams.
