Telegram founder Pavel Durov has announced the launch of Grok, the artificial intelligence developed by Elon Musk’s company xAI, on the messaging platform. From now on, users can interact with the neural network directly in Telegram through the official @Grok bot, reports the Baltimore Chronicle, citing Durov’s statement in X.
According to Durov, Grok has already been integrated into Telegram Mini Apps, allowing it to run natively across all devices, including web browsers. The feature leverages Telegram’s open API, which enables the development and deployment of fully functional services directly within the platform.
The rollout of Grok in Telegram became possible thanks to a new partnership between Telegram and xAI. This move represents another step in expanding Telegram’s ecosystem and illustrates the growing popularity of its open architecture among major AI developers.
Grok draws data from X (formerly Twitter), also owned by Elon Musk. This gives the AI real-time access to social media content, enabling it to deliver responses that differ from traditional chatbots — notably with a more ironic and witty tone.
At present, Grok is only available to users with an X Premium subscription, but its integration with Telegram opens the door for a wider audience and a new way to experience AI interaction.
