Ukrainian intelligence has revealed verified information about extensive cooperation between China and the Russian military industry. According to data from the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (FISU), China supplies specialized chemicals, gunpowder, components, and equipment to at least 20 Russian defense enterprises, reports the Baltimore Chronicle, citing Ukrinform.
During 2024–2025, at least five instances of aviation cooperation between Beijing and Moscow were recorded. These involved the transfer of technical documentation, spare parts, and other equipment necessary for the operation of Russian aviation technology. In six cases, large shipments of specialized chemicals were confirmed.
As of early 2025, according to FISU estimates, 80% of the critical electronics used in Russian drones originate from China. These components are often imported under fake names or through front companies, allowing the circumvention of sanctions and the legal supply of microelectronics and other key parts from China.
