Target Beauty Studio will replace Ulta Beauty shop-in-shops across more than 600 Target stores during fall 2026. The transition follows the scheduled end of Target’s retail partnership with Ulta in August, as reported by the Baltimore Chronicle.
Target prepares a new prestige beauty concept
The redesigned spaces will occupy areas currently used by Ulta Beauty at Target. They will offer skincare, cosmetics, fragrances and haircare products.
Target says the concept will feature more than 80 global and emerging brands. Over 60 brands will be completely new to the retailer. Products will also be sold through Target.com and the Target mobile app.
Customers can expect:
- exclusive prestige and emerging brands;
- personalized help from trained beauty employees;
- displays explaining trends, ingredients and new products;
- beauty-focused Target Circle rewards;
- access to the same assortment online.
The retailer describes the project as an elevated but accessible beauty experience. Further expansion is planned after the first 600 locations open.
