Zelensky said around 20 Russian drones may have entered Polish airspace overnight. Ukraine informed Warsaw in advance; details of the incident are being verified.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that, according to updated intelligence, around twenty Russian drones may have entered Polish airspace overnight. He made the announcement after receiving a report from the Commander of the Air Force, noting that Ukraine had already informed Warsaw through designated channels about the movement of enemy drones during the night, reports Baltimore Chronicle citing European Pravda.

According to Zelensky, the first confirmed violation of the state border between Ukraine and Poland by a Russian drone was recorded at approximately 00:50 Kyiv time. He added that at least two of the drones that crossed into Poland had used Belarusian airspace in the course of their maneuvers.

The president emphasized that several dozen Russian drones in total were flying along the Ukrainian-Belarusian border and in the direction of western Ukrainian regions, approaching designated targets both in Ukraine and in Poland.

Zelensky underlined that the number of drones that entered Polish airspace and advanced deep into its territory could be higher than initially reported. He noted that all details of the incident are still being verified.

He also stressed that Ukraine is prepared to expand cooperation with international partners to strengthen air defense. According to him, it is not only about exchanging intelligence and information but also about taking real joint actions in the skies to ensure the security of neighboring states.
