Long-range attacks by the Defense Forces on targets located on the territory of the Russian Federation should significantly deplete the military capabilities of Putin's army throughout the “theater of military operations.”

As reported by NBN, citing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the redeployment of Russian aircraft to remote rear air bases will not minimize the usefulness of American ATACMS missiles, since there are many other enemy targets.
According to a high-ranking American official responsible for national security issues in the Biden administration, strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out with the help of Western weapons against targets in the Russian Federation will not be effective, since Moscow has redeployed its aircraft from bases located near Ukraine.
ISW analysts believe that such an assessment ignores the fact that Putin's troops are using the “reserve space” in the deep rear of the Russian Federation, in particular, we are talking about a wide range of infrastructure, in addition to airfields, supporting the intensity of military operations against Ukraine. Thus, the movement of aircraft from Russian air bases within ATACMS range does not reduce the benefits of using these missiles against military targets on the territory of a terrorist state.
The Institute for the Study of War concluded:
Only 17 of these 250 facilities [that ATACMS will “reach”] are airfields, and it is unlikely that the Russian military has redeployed assets from all of the other 233 facilities to the same extent as it did with aviation.
Earlier we wrote about why the US prohibits Ukraine from striking deep into the Russian Federation with long-range weapons.
