On August 29, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced that the decision to lift restrictions on the use of EU weapons by Ukraine will soon be made at the national level.

As NBN reports with reference to the Facebook account of the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto, Budapest seems to have a predictably negative attitude to the possible granting of expanded permission to Ukraine to strike Western weapons at the rear areas of the terrorist state.
According to Szijjarto, the “dangerous frenzy” of the High Representative [Josep Borrell] must be urgently stopped, since, in the opinion of the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, sending additional weapons/ammunition to Ukraine against the backdrop of the cancellation of the ban on long-range strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation will only increase the risk of escalation, provoking “even greater cruelty in the war” and an increase in the number of deaths.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry emphasized:
We [the Orban government] continue to represent the position of common sense and peace.
Earlier we wrote that the Pentagon does not intend to allow Ukraine to fire its weapons at the “deep” regions of the Russian Federation.
