Tregubov said on the national telethon that the invaders continue to bypass Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region because they do not want to go into a frontal attack and lose a lot of manpower in urban battles, as they did earlier in other areas, the NBN publication writes.

According to him, the goal of the occupiers is to bypass the settlement, cut off the supply routes of the necessary equipment for the Ukrainian Defense Forces and thus force the defenders to leave Pokrovsk. Fighting in urban areas will require a lot of human resources from the enemy, so he is avoiding such a scenario.

The major recalled that earlier, the Russians at the front “just rushed like a herd” and fought as if they had an unlimited amount of manpower. Now the Russian Armed Forces have begun to act “by the book”, wondering whether they will be able to continue offensive actions if they kill many people in the Pokrovsky direction.

Earlier, the “Khortitsa” Joint Forces Group reported on the intensification of Russian assaults in the Toretsky and Kramatorsk directions.
