As reported by NBN with reference to a video from the YouTube channel Novini.Live, a forecast concerning the dynamics of the inflation process was made by Doctor of Economics, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Strategic Studies Yaroslav Zhalilo.

Based on Zhalilo's words, in Ukraine, in the first months of the current year, inflation continues to grow as expected, but the worst period is behind us, since in the future the increase in prices will reach the so-called “plateau” (when any growth slows down over time), and will stop in a relatively optimal range.

The economist added that the acceleration of consumer inflation was provoked by temporary factors, and in the near future, this indicator will only be influenced by the hryvnia exchange rate, normalization/destabilization of the situation in the country and the expectations of the business sector.

In particular, the above-described sphere, upon exiting the crisis, will once again expand production, and farmers will increase the area of crops, that is, the key reason for the current situation is not the monetary policy of the National Bank of Ukraine, but the increase in business expenses, for example, high energy costs.
