On Wednesday, March 26, the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry arrived in Moscow. This is at least the 13th visit of a representative of Budapest to the Russian Federation since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, which has raised suspicions in the European Union.
Journalists note that the heads of the foreign ministries of EU member states do not visit the Russian Federation as regularly as the Hungarian diplomat does, the NBN publication reports, citing the Bloomberg agency.
While Western countries have sharply reduced contacts with Moscow or completely severed ties, Budapest is using communication with the Kremlin for economic gain.
The media notes that Szijjarto's visit to the capital of the terrorist state took place several hours after Washington announced that Kyiv and Moscow had agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea.
As reported, the German Foreign Ministry warned about the Kremlin leader’s attempt to “blind” the West in peace negotiations.
