Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Australian country singer Keith Urban, after nearly two decades of marriage. On September 30, the actress submitted the legal documents to the court, having previously resolved all matters concerning property division and child custody, reports Baltimore Chronicle with a reference to Just Jared.
It is confirmed that Kidman and Urban chose not to divide their shared property. They agreed that each would retain ownership only of the assets personally held. In their financial filings, both listed an annual income of $100,000.
The former couple also finalized all arrangements regarding the care of their daughters – 17-year-old Sunday and 14-year-old Faith. Nicole Kidman will serve as the primary custodian, spending 306 days per year with the children, while Keith Urban will have 59 days annually. The parents will jointly make significant decisions concerning their daughters’ futures, and they have waived alimony payments.
In the court documents, Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the official reason for the divorce. However, TMZ, citing insiders, reports a different possible circumstance, suggesting that the musician may have a romantic relationship with another woman.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were married in 2006. During their 19-year marriage, they had two daughters. Their eldest, Sunday, was born naturally, while their younger daughter, Faith, was born via surrogacy.
