After months of speculation and silence from the streaming giant, Netflix has officially confirmed that The Witcher Season 4 will premiere on October 30, 2025. The announcement came with a new promotional clip, a poster, and several exclusive stills from the upcoming season, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Redanian Intelligence.
The fourth season will mark a new era for the series as Liam Hemsworth takes over the role of Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill. Fans have been waiting eagerly for the first look, and the newly released images feature Ciri, Yennefer alongside Francesca, and a striking flashback scene with Jaskier and Valdo. Viewers also got their first glimpse of Regis, as well as Geralt reunited with his companions.
Production on the season wrapped nearly a year ago, followed by an extensive post-production phase. Netflix confirmed that all eight episodes will drop on the same day, with no split-volume release strategy, continuing the model used for other flagship shows such as Stranger Things and Wednesday.

In addition to the main series, the franchise will expand with The Rats: A Witcher’s Tale, a feature-length spinoff special set to premiere later in 2025. The exact release month remains unconfirmed, but the project is expected to complement the main storyline.
Meanwhile, The Witcher universe continues to grow beyond the screen. Andrzej Sapkowski’s latest book, Crossroads of Ravens, was published internationally on September 30, 2025, while CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 4 video game is now in full production.
