The second season of “One Piece” will premiere on March 10, 2026, exclusively on Netflix, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Tudum. The new chapter will continue the story of the Straw Hat Pirates as they embark on their long-awaited journey through the Grand Line — a legendary sea route filled with danger, mystery, and adventure.

This season, the heroes will visit Drum Island, renowned for its skilled doctors and its endless winter. Towering cylindrical mountains surround the Drum Kingdom, with the eerie Drum Castle perched atop its highest peak, evoking the atmosphere of a medieval fortress.

Showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tracz described Drum Island as a kind of “medieval Winterfell” — a mysterious, snow-covered land ruled by legend and fear. According to Tracz, the castle atop the mountain is believed to be home to a woman the villagers call a witch.

Filming for Season 2 took place in Cape Town, South Africa, where the production team had to simulate a snowy environment despite the region’s warm climate. “We brought in mountains of fake snow,” Tracz shared. “It tricks your brain — you arrive on set and feel cold, even though it’s actually summer.”

The new season features returning stars: Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro. Audiences will also meet a new character — Miss Wednesday, portrayed by Charithra Chandran.

According to the official synopsis from Netflix, “One Piece: Into the Grand Line” will bring “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet.” Luffy and his crew will face giants, dinosaurs, and even find themselves inside a whale. Each island along the Grand Line will test the Straw Hats’ determination, pushing them to depend on each other as they chase their dreams.

As Tracz explained, the second season fulfills the promise made at the end of Season 1, when the crew pledged to pursue their goals together. Now, each member will confront their personal challenges and learn that their dreams can only be realized through teamwork and trust.

The live-action adaptation of “One Piece” is based on the world-famous manga by Eiichiro Oda, produced in collaboration with Shueisha, Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner), and Netflix.
